Spring Program and First Playdate with new church friends

Annaleigh made her acting debut last Thursday at her pre-school spring program. They sang "Patty Cake" "Baby Bunting" and "Teddy-Bear, Teddy Bear." She did a great job and even knew all the words & motions! This is the only pictures I was able to get which I stole off Amber's blog because they lighting was so horrible none of my pictures turned out.

After the program, we went to go get food and ice cream since it was A's actual birthday. She wasn't too sure about being serenaded at Red Robin, but she liked the balloon and ice cream sundae!

Friday was our first play date with the sweet girls at Grapevine. We had the best intentions to go the Arboretum in Dallas, take cute pictures, and have a picnic. Due to inclement weather, we decided to go to the Dallas World Aquarium instead. When we arrived and saw a sign at the ticket window that read "757 school children are here today" we should have turned back...but against our better judgement and because we were DETERMINED to make the best out of the day, we pushed forward with our wagons and double strollers. I can't say we saw many animals or fish because the crowds were unbelievable...but I can say we made a lot of memories and the kids were angels!!! Oh well, we will try it again next week!Annaleigh and her friend Cassidee crawling on the fish tanks.Sharing snacks in the wagon

Busy and Blessed!

Have you missed me?? This most recent lack of updates has been due to a grueling nursing school schedule, an unexpected extraction of my wisdom teeth, and a visit from my favorite little munchkins from Louisiana and their parents:

First of all, I just have to say that I admire all you hospital nurses out there. Granted y'all aren't up till the wee hours of the night writing care plans (for the most part) but these 14 hour days at the hospital are taking some getting used to for me! I now truly understand why nurses only work 3 days a week...because it takes the other 4 to recover!!!

In other news, I finally went to the dentist last week to take care of a tooth that had been bothering me for a while. It was a wisdom tooth but fully exposed so I thought he would just fill the cavity and I would be on my merry little way....two hours later I walked out of the office looking like a chipmunk to who prefers to store nuts on only one side. He yanked those teeth out immediately...and apparently they were causing more of a problem than I realized because other teeth were being effected. Oh, the joy. Needless to say, I have a few more trips to the dentist until all my problems will be resolved and the moral of the story is:DO NOT NEGLECT YOUR GUMS!!!! Preventative care is definitely the answer and now I am finally a believer!!!

So.....the very next day after the DENTALVISITFROMHELL...our bestest friends from Louisiana came for a little visit. We miss these guys so much. I know I have talked about it before, but they truly feel like family. God has blessed us so much with this special relationship..

Friday night we took the kids to the Wiggly Play Center in Frisco. It was a little trek up there from where we live but the kids had a blast!Getting ready for the fun

To get ready for Easter, the two older girls went to the Easter Egg Hunt at our church. I didn't know what to expect, but they actually had lots of activities in addition to the hunt like a bounce house, arts & crafts, and cupcake decorating.

Because we are INSANE, Nat and I decided it would be fun for the kids to decorate easter eggs on Saturday to leave for the Easter bunny. It actually wasn't TOO messy. I am just glad they make that dye to come out of clothing and counters more easily than what they used to!

The Easter Bunny came to visit our house on Saturday night! He must have really liked the eggs the kids dyed for him!

Annaleigh's 2nd Birthday is TODAY! I can't believe my baby girl is 2 years old. She has her make-up school program tonight and her party is Saturday so I will share pictures from those soon!

Getting ready for Easter and Spring Break Project

A is so proud of her bunny barrettes her friend Dudsi gave her. She saved them a whole year to wear because she didn't have enough hair to hold them up last year!

Last week... Ahhh...what a beautiful color....for the Caribbean ocean! I am not sure what the previous owners of this house had in mind when they painted the master bathroom this color but I can stand it any longer! I am on Spring Break this week so this is my project!!!

We are going for something a little more "neutral!"

Snow!

It started to snow today at 1 and still hasn't stopped. I couldn't wait to get A up from her nap so she could play in it. This is the most snow I have seen since we have lived in Texas and I think this is the first snow A has really got to play in.Please excuse the "bag-lady" chic look I am sporting. These clothes are what happens when it snows in Texas once a year and all your ski stuff is somewhere in the attic. When we first got outside A was really apprehensive about touching the snow (or the ground for that matter.) Once she got over the initial shock, she had a blast.
