mixed bathing, boys with bows, & halloween costume practice

A is going to be a "Fairy love bug" for Halloween so I have been trying to get her used to wearing her cute costume

We went to go visit Daddy at his office so he could see how cute she looked Annaleigh thought it would be a good idea rearrange Daddy's office. She didn't agree with his organization system.
The main idea is just that you throw everything everywhere, then all you have to do is look on the floor to find something rather than rummage through a file.
Contemplating the hard life of a fairy love bug
After both kids smeared their morning oatmeal in their hair this morning we had to make a bee line for the bath tub.
Once in the bathtub, A & C remembered the strict guidelines the church of Christ has against mixed bathing....
They decided the rules didn't apply until they reach the much talked about "age of accountability"
Russell thought it was mean of me to include this picture of C with a bow in his hair today at lunch....First of all, I don't think he was happy about it, and second, he is the most "boy" little boy I know, so I don't think we will have any problems with gender identity in the future.

And I just put this one in because I thought A looked cute!
A and I are headed to Georgia tomorrow morning for a few days...If live in the area, give us a ring. We would love to see you!

Now & Then

So, a year ago or so I posted about how Russell and I go on walks just about every evening to the little park near our house. We actually still try to walk almost every evening so I thought it would be fun to take pictures at the same place we did last year and compare. Obviously, the big difference this year is we have a squirmy 17 month old on our hands who doesn't want to sit still to take a picture!

A note to Whitney Cantrell

Whit- I don't know your email address!!! Mine is lauriefrantz2002@yahoo.com. Hope to hear from you soon!!!

Note to Self

Dear Self: The next time you want to take your child's picture in cute cowboy boots, do it before church, not AFTER church when she is ready to go to bed.

Susan G. Komen 3 Day Update

Below is a copy of the support letter that was recently sent out. I hope you will consider donating to this worthy cause. If you would like to donate, just click on the link at the bottom of the page.
love,
Laurie
Dear Friends & Family-
As many of you may already know, I am committed to walking in the Susan G. Komen 3 day walk for breast cancer. We will be walking 60 miles in 3 days October 26-28th. As a condition of participation, I must raise at least $2,200. Proceeds benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the National Philanthropic Trust Breast Cancer Fund.
I am asking that you would consider partnering with me in this great endeavor by making a financial contribution to this cause that could potentially find a cure for Breast Cancer.
I thank you in advance for whatever you can give.
I have also compiled a cookbook that I would love to send you in appreciation for your generous support so please email me back and let me know if you decide to make a donation.
Thanks so much!
Laurie Frantz

1st Ranger Game

Well, Annaleigh finally attended her first Ranger game last night. I have to say it is a moment that Russell has been talking about for a long time....He was SOOOOOO excited to take her! It really was a perfect night to go watch a ball game...and the Rangers even managed to squeeze out a win!Hanging out with friend Emily Russell was SO excited about getting her an ice cream in a hat (for nostalgia reasons, I guess.) The one thing he didn't remember is they are $5!

Annaleigh didn't care how much it cost. She was just happy to get ice cream!

And to top off the sugar high, she got to share a coke with mommy and daddy.

Favorite Blogs

So...I have mentioned before that I am a blog stalker. Today I wanted to share 3 of my favorite blogs to read. It so happens that I have not formally met any of these individuals...but I think it would be cool to one day!
Happy Stalking!

New things

A's newest thing is she is obsessed with her bows and necklaces. The first thing she does when she wakes up in the morning is ask for them both.Mimi and Pop got her a Little People farm a few weeks ago. She loves those little animals and carries them everywhere! It's so HARD not to spoil this little girl because she gets SO SO SO excited over anything new. She was so excited she was actually shaking when we were taking the farm out of the boxAnother favorite new thing to do is go swimming. We try to go to the pool about twice a week. The girl is not afraid of water at all! I want to point out two things about the picture below. First, A is with our dear friend Elaine who is currently taking a 5 week "sabbatical" in Colorado! We already miss her like crazy! The second is that I want you to notice A's expression. We affectionately call it "the Elvis face." It's kinda hard to tell but she does the lip raise perfectly when she isn't pleased with something going on. I guess she was tired of getting her picture taken. Did I mention I have an opinionated and expressive child??...and oh my goodness, the girl has really started talking. She seems to repeat almost every thing we say. Favorites are: Mama, Dada, Lola (the cat), baby, bow, neclic (necklace), shoes, ball, up, out, hi, bye, more, yuck, duck, bip (dip: as in ketchup which she wants to dunk all her food including fruit), cup, & tank u (thank you) I am just amazed how much in these past few weeks her speech has improved.
In blog news. Reese has some pictures up of her little princess & Casey had her baby on Friday. Little Henley is just precious. Now we are waiting on April's , Kate's, Michelle's,and Calista's little ones to arrive soon...then Elizabeth, Angie, & Becky!! Babies, Babies EVERYWHERE!!

Me as a Simpson

My BBF Carrie, the Modern Housewife did this last week and I thought it was pretty funny so I decided to give it a try. You too can go to http://www.simpsonsizeme.com/ and see what you would look at as a Simpson. As a side note to all of my Lipscomb University friends, I chose for my hair to be straight since that is the way I mostly wear it these days....yet, I still don't think it looks much like me. What do you think??
